What is CranioSacral Therapy?
I am happy to offer CranioSacral Therapy to my clients, as it is a very gentle treatment method that connects with the body’s central nervous system, and can address conditions that many traditional treatment methods and medicine cannot.
- It improves circulation of the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) that surrounds the brain and spinal column, contained within the meninges (membranes), and gently encourages movement of skull bones to their appropriate alignment.
- The CSF lubricates and nourishes the core nerve center of our body, and if the circulation of fluid is not optimal, our body will display symptoms we may not understand.
It was pioneered and developed by Osteopathic Physician John E. Upledger after years of clinical testing and research at Michigan State University where he served as professor of biomechanics.
