Fall is the time of harvest, when the Earth brings forth the bounty of the land. A despacho is a message sent to Spirit. Ayni loosely translates to reciprocity from Quechua. Our Ayni Despacho done when there is equal balance of light and dark; we offer our gratitude to the Earth for her blessings and bounty in our everyday lives. This balance then brings to balance in our lives for the season to come. This ceremony is done extensively throughout the Andes before embarking on a mountain journey, or at any time of new beginning, birth, marriage, new direction in life, etc. The ceremony connects us to the realms of energy and to the archetypes that support us.
You are invited to come and participate as we prepare an organic prayer bundle and celebrate our abundance and joy in life. Fire ceremony (weather permitting) will follow the despacho ceremony and a light supper will be provided. Come and bring your beautiful prayers of gratitude to place in the despacho. Space is limited to 15 participants.
